LGBTQ Pride Month celebrated June 21

Following her college graduation this spring, Kayla Robertson planned to tour Switzerland and France with her university’s jazz band and be part of the ensemble for “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
