Celebrate the decades at the Cancer Support Center’s Boo ’10 fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 21.

Guests are encouraged to come in costume from their favorite decade.  “You might love the roaring ’20s, or you might be an ’80s person,” said Jeanette Bruni, co-chair. “Costumes are not mandatory, but they are encouraged. It’s really a lot of fun to be at an event with friends and neighbors dressed so festively!”

This annual event is hosted by the center’s Homewood Community Board and is open to persons 21 and older. The party starts at 8 p.m. at Wiley’s Grill, 800 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor.

Tickets are $60 per person. The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. Tickets can be purchased online.

Boo ’10 funds will help support the free services offered at the Cancer Support Center to those who have been impacted by cancer.

The Cancer Support Center gives strength, guidance and support to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones. The center is a community-based, volunteer-driven, donor-supported organization. Programs, resources and services are delivered by professional therapists, counselors, nutritional educators and experts at no cost.

The center is at 2028 Elm Road in Homewood. For more information about this event or the center, contact Brandon Newberry at [email protected] or call 708-798-9171.
