The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) will open its 40th season Oct. 14 under the direction of Stilian Kirov, its new music director and conductor. This year the IPO also will be in a new home at Ozinga Chapel at Trinity Christian College, 6601 W. College Drive in Palos Heights. The season’s programs are being inspired by the 100th anniversary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein.
