Coffee with a Cop comes to Flossmoor Friday

Registrations are being accepted through Friday, Oct. 6, for the annual Senior Citizens Breakfast and Tour at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. The 9 a.m. program on Wednesday, Oct. 11, in the cafeteria in the South Building includes an overview of the school by administrators, musical entertainment by students and a student-guided tour. Registrations are being accepted at 708-335-5581 or at Receive a 3-day free trial of unlimited digital access.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
