Flossmoor seeks input from residents on planning, marketing surveys

Homewood-Flossmoor’s Tech Ninja Team is kicking off its season Sunday. The competitive robotics team is hosting an introductory event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Homewood Science Center, 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood. It’s the start of the third year for the Tech Ninja Team, which is made up of middle and high school students from Homewood and Flossmoor. Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
