20 Minutes Matter program urges parents to devote time to children daily

The frantic search for eclipse glasses was over. On Monday, Aug. 21, H-F area residents congregated to watch the eclipse, the closest to a full solar eclipse here in recent memory. In Homewood, families attended events at the Homewood Science Center and the Homewood Public Library, where video streams of the event were shown and kids were able to create hand-crafted viewers. The science center event drew more than 400 people, and had a party-like atmosphere, with food vendors available.  Cloud cover partially obscured the event in the sky, and several youngsters reported that their homemade . . .
