PSC Music Department presents Spring Concert Series in May

Homewood’s 23 Miles South Theatre will present three performances of “Harriet the Spy” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 11 and 12. The cast will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a dinner/theatre package available. The play will also be performed at 3 and 7 p.m.* on Saturday. Performances are at St. Paul Community Church, 18200 Dixie Highway. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday performances are $12 for adults and $8 for children and senior citizens. The dinner/theatre package starts at 6 p.m. with catering . . .

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
