H-F High inducts 115 students into the National Honor Society

Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) inducted 115 juniors and sophomores into its ranks during a special ceremony Monday, April 24. NHS officers addressed students. President Sarah Weiner spoke on leadership; Vice President Amber Haywood spoke on the quality of one's character; and Treasurer Malika Toguem spoke on service. Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
