The Tony Award-winning musical “The Secret Garden” will be performed by members of The Drama Group April 28, 29 and 30 at the Bloom Township High School auditorium.
The enchanting musical follows an orphan girl, Mary Lennox, who is forced to leave India when her parents die. She is sent to England to live with her widowed uncle and invalid cousin. Mary soon realizes her new family needs more healing than she does. When Mary discovers a secret garden, she discovers the seeds of rebirth that will help the family blossom.
Performers include Ava Jones of Flossmoor, Linda Hart of Homewood, Carolina Bivens of Flossmoor and Ruby Moxley of Homewood.
This show is under the direction of Marylee Hoganson of Homewood. Scene design is by Russ Hoganson of Homewood. Music director is Angela Marciszewski of Flossmoor. Production manager is Linda Hart of Homewood.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 28 and 29, and 2 p.m. April 30 at the high school, 10th Street and Dixie Highway in Chicago Heights.
