Homewood residents flocked to Dixie Highway and along Ridge Road on Tuesday to celebrate the nation's independence with the annual Fourth of July parade. Homewood Events Manager Allisa Opyd estimated about 2,000 people watched the 52 parade entries make the mile-long trek from the St. Joseph Church parking lot to Izaak Walton Preserve.
