H-F teachers select three candidates in school board race

Homewood School District 153 and the Homewood Education Association (HEA) have reached an agreement on a five-year contract that includes salary raises for teachers and staff. HEA approved the agreement on June 2. Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Homewood 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, then follows Ridge Road to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
  • Flossmoor 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High and ends downtown, where there will be fun activities.
