Interfaith discussion set for March 19 at St. Andrew Church

“You Believe in ANGELS? - Christian, Muslim and Jewish Perspectives” is the topic for a Sunday, March 19, program at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 18850 Riegel Road in Homewood.Guest presenters will be Pastor Caleb Hong of Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park; Sheikh Amir Toft, imam and Islamic scholar at the University of Chicago; and Rabbi Michael Stevens, rabbi emeritus of Temple Beth-El in Munster, Ind. Registration for this free program opens at 2:30 p.m. with the discussion from 3 to 6 p.m.  This program is presented by the SouthWest Interfaith . . .

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.
