With Thursday’s 63-45 victory, Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s girls basketball team advances to the super-sectional round of the Illinois State High School Association (IHSA) tournament.
The Vikings defeated Marist High School, of Chicago, to take the Palos Heights sectional round.

H-F will play Montini High School, of Lombard, in Monday’s super-sectional contest. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Mother McAuley High School in Chicago.
Montini defeated Whitney Young High School, of Chicago, 67-52, to win the Summit sectional on Thursday.
The winner of Monday’s super-sectional game advances to the state championship round, which starts March 3 in Normal.
