Viking girls win first sectional game against Mother McAuley

Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s girls basketball team recorded another playoff win Tuesday by defeating Mother McAuley 59-35 in the first game of the sectional round at Shepard High School in Palos Heights.

In the second sectional game, Marist High School’s team defeated Marian Catholic 46-35.

The Vikings will take on Marist in the sectional title game, scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at Shepard.
