The Drama Group presents “Good People,” a 2011 Tony Award winning comedy, at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 and 25, and March 2, 3 and 4 and at 2 p.m. Feb. 26 and March 5, at the studio, 330 W. 202nd St., Chicago Heights.
The play takes place in the Southie neighborhood of Boston where life is tough and people live paycheck to paycheck. Margie is out of work and about to be evicted.
She decides to look up an old fling who has made it big. She’s just not sure how much of his past life he wants to remember, but she will give it a go. Together they explore the struggles, shifting loyalties and unshakeable hopes that come with having next to nothing in America.
Homewood residents working on “Good People” are cast members Geoffrey Purvis and Suzy Dritz with design team members Russ Hoganson, Greg Garcia and Tom Powers.
