Andrea Denney, pastor at Calvary United Protestant Church in Park Forest, will be the guest presenter discussing “The Bible is Not a Weapon” at the 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22 meeting of LighthouseLGBTQ at the Flossmoor Community Church House, 847 Hutchinson Rd., Flossmoor.
Denney, a graduate of the Chicago Theological Seminary, will focus her discussion on seven Bible passages that some believe relate to homosexuality. Denney has studied those verses for 10 years, and will share and inform guests on the biblical texts.
The meeting is open to all allies, family and members of the LGBTQ community.
The February young adults meeting will be conducted at 5:30 p.m.
