Auditions set for Drama Group’s ‘Buried Child’ production

Spring cleaning activities are underway in Flossmoor.

Volunteers have already participated in two roadside clean-up events and do-it-yourself kits are available at village hall, 2800 Flossmoor Road, for persons wishing to tidy up their neighborhoods.

Summer events

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
