Volunteers still needed for some MLK Day of Service projects

As friends and family cheered, this week’s graduation ceremony for Flossmoor’s Citizen Police Academy took on a party-like atmosphere.

Along with the graduates, applause greeted the police officers in charge of the yearly 12-week program.

  • Pride Party at the Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. The family-friendly event will have food, music and other entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m.
