H-F Park District starts planning for Splash Pad replacement

Homewood-Flossmoor High School graduates Jade Greear and Destiny Watson will be two of three young adults featured in a Lifetime television program “Change Makers” airing at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28.   jade GreearGreear and Watson are 2016 graduates of H-F. Greear is a former guest columnist for the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle,  and Watson, president of You Matter 2, will be in the spotlight for their volunteer efforts with the WE organization.  Their stories are part of the Allstate Receive a 3-day free trial of unlimited digital access.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
