Century-old Funk’s Hall hosted several firsts in Homewood

Supporters of South Suburban Family Shelter (SSFS) are planning a special fundraiser for March 25 to help the agency weather its reduced budget due to lack of state funding.

The party starts at 7 p.m. at the Flossmoor Community House, 847 Hutchison Road. All funds will go directly to SSFS, a Homewood-based not-for-profit organization helping domestic violence victims.

Entertainment will be by MG Bailey, Carrie Bonanotte and Fragile Soul. Prizes will be awarded through raffles. Guests will enjoy a dinner meal. Beer and wine will be available. Donations are being provided by LouLou . . .
