The Copper Still in downtown Homewood will host an open house Friday, Dec. 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday in preparation for its official opening Jan. 2.
The martini bar, which held a sneak peek event during the Holiday Lights festival on Dec. 2, has been in development most of the year.
In April, local attorney David McDermott and co-owners Dana McDermott and Christina D’Ambrosio presented their plans to the Homewood Board of Trustees as part of the application for a liquor license.
Since then, the business’s team has been working through regulatory requirements and overseeing the renovation of the space at 1961 Ridge Road, formerly occupied by Global Fusion.
The first-floor martini bar will open first, but the business also plans to open soon a Prohibition-era speakeasy in the basement.
