Local theater patrons have until Dec. 31 to cast ballots for theater performers and stage crew in the 2016 Broadway World Chicago Awards competition.
Three nominations went to Artists Walk Theatre that presented “The Fantasticks” in late August at the Flossmoor Community House.
The Drama Group, based in Chicago Heights, has numerous nominations for its productions of “Bleacher Bums,” “Murder on the Nile” and “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
Nominations are for performances between Oct. 1, 2015 and Sept. 30, 2016. Nominations covered both professional productions and non-equity theaters, such as The Artists Walk Theatre and Drama Group. Nominations were submitted by BroadwayWorld readers. Winners will be announced in January.

Homewood-Flossmoor High School graduate Megan Murray is nominated for her performance as Louisa in the production of “The Fantasticks.” And, former H-F High teacher David Boettcher is nominated for his direction of the production. They were featured in the Aug. 18 print issue of the Chronicle.
