“I grew up about four miles from Wrigley Field, listened to Harry on the radio all the time and have been going to games since I was a little kid,” says Christy Rickabaugh, of Homewood.
“My best friend from childhood has season tickets. We have been watching and going to games together since 1989.”
Last Saturday they went to Game 4 of the World Series at Wrigley Field.
“It was so emotional just seeing the World Series logo on the field,” she says. “Even though we lost, it was so memorable just being there.”
Christy says here husband and two children are also diehard Cubs fans.
“My 8-year-old son wears an entire Cubs uniform to watch every playoff game. We have proudly hung our Cubs flag since we moved to Homewood eight years ago despite all of our neighbors being Sox fans and making comments.
“Going to the North Side tomorrow for a big Cubs party. Go Cubs!!”
