South Suburban Family Shelter seeks donations for holiday Adopt-A-Family program

South Suburban Family Shelter Inc. (SSFS) is looking for individuals, families or businesses interested in participating in its annual Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program.

Adopt-A-Family is designed to help victims of domestic violence and their children during the holiday season.

The victims and their children who participate in Adopt-A-Family are experiencing financial hardship as a result of their family circumstances. They would likely have nothing for the holidays without the help of generous donors, according to SSFS officials.

Donors purchase and wrap gifts for their adopted family.

Monetary contributions and gift cards are also welcome and may be mailed to: South Suburban Family Shelter, P.O. Box 937, Homewood, IL 60430, Attn: Adopt-a-Family.

South Suburban Family Shelter is not-for-profit agency which provides comprehensive services for families who experience domestic violence. All victim services are provided free of charge and all programs are available in English and Spanish.
