Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters Hosts Program on the Nov. 8 Election

Are you prepared to vote on every question on the Nov. 8 ballot?

The League of Women Voters of Homewood-Flossmoor Area will help you be an informed voter through a special 7 p.m. program Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway. Coffee and light refreshments will be served before the program.

While much has been said and written about the high profile races for president and the U.S. Senate race in Illinois, voters will be asked to make decisions on a number of important issues.

Doug Price, an active League of Women Voters member from Park Forest, will lead the discussion on what’s on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Price will review a Cook County initiative on whether the duties of the Cook County recorder of deeds should be handled by the Cook County clerk; an Illinois constitutional amendment forbidding the use of funds collected for state approved transportation projects to be used for other purposes; and a host of other issues.
