Two juveniles have been charged with home invasion and weapons violations after an incident Saturday, Oct. 8, in the 1600 block of Olive Road, according to Homewood police.
Officers were called to a disturbance at a residence there about 2:55 p.m.
Police said several juveniles were involved in a dispute over a lawn mowing job. The victims were inside a screened-in porch when two suspects entered and demanded money and a cell phone.
The suspects began striking the victims with a firearm, police said. The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the scene but were apprehended a short time later, and the firearm was recovered, according to the report.
One suspect was charged with armed robbery with a firearm, home invasion with a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. The other suspect was charged with armed robbery with a firearm and home invasion with a firearm.
The names of juvenile offenders are not released by police in compliance with state law.
