Ingalls Health System is planning a merger with the University of Chicago Medical Center. Ingalls Hospital in Harvey has been an independent community hospital for 92 years.
Rep. Will Davis, D-Homewood, invites the community to give testimony on the proposed merger at a community meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Gloria Taylor Banquet Hall, 14821 Broadway in Harvey.
The meeting is being conducted by the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board. Comments will be considered when the board meets Sept. 13 to give its decision on the proposed merger.
