Smiles Change Lives honors Lisa Grant for her volunteer efforts

Dr. Lisa Grant, an orthodontist in Homewood, will be honored Sept. 23 at the Sixth Annual Gini Awards program for her volunteer efforts to improve children’s oral health.

She will receive the award for her many efforts at helping others and her commitment to giving back to her community through SCL. The Smiles Change Lives (SCL) organization banquet will be in Kansas City.

The Gini Award is named in honor of SCL founder Virginia “Gini” Brown. Today nearly 750 orthodontists nationwide participate with the organization. To date, more than 8,000 children nationwide have received life-changing orthodontic treatment through SCL.

Dr. Grant volunteers to serve children in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area. In addition, Grant’s continuing education events and community outreach for SCL have made her one of Smiles Change Lives premier provider orthodontists.

She has been a practicing orthodontist since 1993.
