Audrey and Eli Goldsmith of Hazel Crest prepare a snowcone for a customer Saturday, July 23, at the Homewood Farmers Market. They said the hot, sticky weather helped their sales. The two were at the market with their mother, Toya Goldsmith. The proceeds from snowcone sales will be used to fund family trips to national parks. The family has visited Cuyahoga National Park in Ohio and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in Northwest Indiana. Next on their list is Washington, D.C., where they will visit national parks and historic sites.
