May 9 set for consultation for parents of special needs kids

Do you know of someone who has left an indelible mark on Homewood?

It’s not too late to make a nomination for the 2016 Homewood Hall of Fame recognition. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, May 27.

New inductees are added to the hall of fame every two years. The program began in 2003 when the village Heritage Committee sought a way to recognize individuals “who have made significant and beneficial contributions to the life and well-being of the village of Homewood,” according to the program brochure.

Nominees can be individuals, couples or families who have served the community over a period of time. A specific number of years is not noted in the brochure.

Nomination forms are available at Village Hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. Completed forms can be dropped off at or mailed to Village Hall.

Everyone is limited to one nomination at a time.

Inductees will be honored at a ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Ravisloe Country Club.
