Vince Krydynski, a 1981 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, will become the school’s first lay president. He has served as vice president of institutional advancement since 2013.
He will take the position July 1 when the eight-year term of current president Sister Judine Hilbing ends. As president, Krydynski will be the chief executive officer responsible for ensuring the school’s Catholic and Dominican identity, maintaining operational and fiscal viability and implementing the school’s strategic plan.
Krydynski has a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and a juris doctorate from The John Marshall Law School. He will complete a master’s degree in educational leadership from St. Mary’s in June.
Marian Catholic was founded in 1958 under the direction of the Springfield-based Dominican Sisters. Today it serves 1,100 students from the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana.
