Community rallies around Homewood business after misfortunes push it to the brink

Irish tenor Gavin Coyle will perform Celtic songs and Irish ballads at a special early St. Patrick’s Day program on March 15 at St. Joseph Church, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood.

Coyle will begin his program at 7 p.m. with Irish favorites and include selections from stage and screen.

A native of Derry, Northern Ireland, Coyle was recognized for his talent at a young age and won the All-Ireland Singing Champion title when he was 14. Since moving to the United States in 1995, Coyle has performed around the country, including singing the National Anthem at Chicago sporting events. He teaches music at St. Petronille School in Glen Ellyn.

This program is open to the public. A freewill offering is requested. Coyle has recorded several CDs which will be available after the program.
