Just breathe: Mother, daughter cope with pain of rare condition

It’s a kindergarten classroom full of fun as students
at Willow School don crowns and glasses shaped
like the number 100 to mark 100 days of learning.

Students at Homewood’s Willow School marked the 100th day of school on Thursday, Feb. 11.

It was a day to celebrate all they’d learned, and a day to consider what 100 means.

Several were pretty classy dressed up as old folks with stylish looks. Hopefully they’ll look that good when they mark a century of living.

One class took time to decorate “100” crowns and glasses to wear for the day.

Kindergarten teacher Shannon Martin said in the first 100 days of the school year every student in her class learned to read. Quite an accomplishment for 5-year-olds!

In her coordinated outfit,
kindergartner Brin Fonner
leans on her cane to strike
a pose.
Playing the 100-year-old
grandpa, Shane Jursa is
still able to get around his
kindergarten classroom.
