Vendor to replace some new water meters after Homewood officials discover minor problem

Homewood-Flossmoor High School student Lucy Sloan will be the first featured student artist at Loulou Belle, the new art and vintage good shop at 2049 Ridge Road in Homewood. 

A reception marking the opening of Sloan's exhibit will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the shop.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
