Prairie State College meeting financial challenges on ‘tight’ budget

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Wednesday that includes the Homewood-Flossmoor area.

Snow, possibly mixed with rain, could start Tuesday night. Precipitation is expected to become all snow by Wednesday morning.

Accumulation of one to seven inches of wet, heavy snow is expected Wednesday and Wednesday night, NWS officials said, although snowfall amounts could vary substantially over relatively short distances.

High winds, with gusts to about 45 mph could bring visibility to zero at times during the storm, which will make travel dangerous.
