St. Joseph School in Homewood hosted a science fair for third through eighth graders on Jan. 27.
Judges got to look at a host of topics, including “Which soda pop is the real pop?” “Which burger will grow mold?” “Is a controller car better than a laser car?” and “How much salt does it take to make an egg float?”
Winners were:
3rd Grade: Kylee Ng, third place; Sunshine Obodoakor, second; Jalen Haynes, first.
4th Grade: Maris Hollimon, third ; place Venus Oriaikhi, second; Alexis Byas, first.
5th Grade: Chase Rogers, third; Bryce Nobles, second; Elijah Barnum, first.
6th Grade: Dyan Oliver, third; Diego Oliver, second; Kira Chivers, first.
7th Grade: Dylan Houston, third; Luke Shelley, second; London Hatch, first.
8th Grade: Robert Swain, third; Neelam Warren-Pal, second; Kiegan Chivers, first.
