Vivien Haggerty came to the Homewood Farmers Market dressed for the wet weather, including a pair of rubber boots that were obviously designed to facilitate jumping in puddles.
So she did.
The wet weather made for a slow day at the market, according to Market Manager Kate Duff.
One group had a pretty good day, though. Irons Oaks Foundation volunteers said sale of mums was pretty good, possibly because the flowers “came pre-watered.”
The foundation will have a booth at the market again Saturday, Sept. 19. The flower sale helps support programs at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center.
