Trains on Metra’s electric line are experiencing significant delays Thursday after a wire problem stopped traffic at Homewood station.

A Metra notice posted at 6:48 a.m. reported the problem and noted, “The duration of this delay is unknown but extensive delay are anticipated.”

At 7:31 a.m. Metra announced that traffic on Track No. 1 was open again but was moving slowly at Homewood.
