Rain? No problem. Local residents brought umbrellas and lined the Dixie Highway-Olive Road-Harwood Avenue route in spite of a moderate rain shower minutes before the parade was set to begin. Veterans, Boy Scouts, public safety vehicles, local officials and three school bands led by a color guard and bagpiper helped the village remember the sacrifices of the nation’s veterans.
