Bethea comes to the school board after having been president of the Homewood PTA the past two years. She has volunteered with the organization for seven years as a room mom, chairperson of the TV Turnoff event and vice president of fundraising.

“My husband, Charles, and I are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. I would like to thank everyone who supported me in the election,” Bethea said.

“While serving on the school board, I plan on continuing to help make decisions that will positively enrich the lives and education of all our students.”
