Parker students perform musical play ‘Once On This Island’ Friday

Homewood Animal Hospital apparently has closed its doors.

Customers of the business at 2207 W. 183rd St. reported the abrupt closure Thursday.

An answering service representative said she was advised to tell callers the hospital is closed permanently and to seek health care for pets at other area veterinary services.
No signs are posted at the business to announce the closure.

Efforts to contact staff members for comment have not yet been successful.

The staff at Flossmoor Animal Hospital said a number of Homewood Animal Hospital clients have sought advice and services.

Flossmoor hospital receptionist Jenna Berzy said the most common question pet owners in this situation have asked is how to get records of their pet’s health care history.

She said they are keeping a list of people with questions and will try to help them, but at the moment they do not have access to that information.
