Homewood trustees will hold budget hearing Tuesday

At least five juveniles were involved in a fight at the Flossmoor Public Library last Wednesday, April 8. Police officers were told that fighting took place both inside the library and in its parking lot, Deputy Police Chief Tod Kamleiter said Tuesday.

Officers were called to the library at 5:50 p.m. following a report to police that a fight was in progress, Kamleiter said. They arrived a short time later and were told that the juvenile suspects were running west from the library.

Police were able to locate the juveniles and brought them back to the library.

Witnesses said the fight began in the library and spilled out into the parking lot. Some of the suspects fled from the scene when police arrived, Kamleiter said. It appears that five or six juveniles were involved in the incident, he said.
