The teachers union at Homewood-Flossmoor High School has endorsed four Board of Education incumbents who are seeking another term in the April 7 election.
Dana Noble, president of the Homewood-Flossmoor Educational Organization (HFEO) told the H-F Chronicle on Sunday that the union is endorsing the four incumbents: Tim Wenckus, Jody Scariano, John Farrell and Debbie Berman.
Noble said the HFEO would not be taking any other actions on behalf of the candidates.
Four four-year seats are at stake in next month’s election. Early voting begins Monday and lasts through April 4 at Oakwood Recreation Center, 4450 Oakwood Lane, Matteson.
Other candidates seeking seats on the H-F board are Don Popravak, Jennifer Hoekstra, Wayne Holloway and Nora Beverly.
The HFEO is the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all regularly employed full and part-time certified teachers and all regularly employed full and part-time instructional assistants. It is an affiliate of the Illinois Education Association and National Education Association.
No other information on the HFEO endorsement was immediately available.
