South Suburban Family Shelter offers required 20-Hour training for abuser intervention facilitators

H-F girls fell to Benet 77-71 last night in a hard-fought game. They will play today for a shot at third place in the IHSA state tournament.

According to a Chicago Tribune report, H-F's effort was led by Nadia Green, with 18 points, 9 rebounds; and Faith Suggs, 13 points, 11 rebounds.

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
