H-F chess team competes at state tournament, looks to future

Governors State University is offering Freshman Fridays, a specially-designed session providing graduating high school seniors an easy way to apply to GSU and receive an instant admissions decision on-the-spot, as well as meet with academic and financial aid advisors, take a tour of the university and see what residence hall life is like.

To qualify for direct admissions on Freshman Fridays, seniors must have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale; have a minimum composite ACT score of 20 with at least a 20 in the English and math components; and provide their official high school transcripts and official ACT scores (scores may be posted on the official transcript). 

GSU will waive the application fee for qualified applicants attending Freshman Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 6, April 3 and May 1. Governors State University on
