Homewood Public Works took some heat after the big snow storm earlier this month when streets were not cleaned as well as they usually are.
The department apparently returned to form Thursday, Feb. 26, to combat several inches of lake effect snow overnight and during the morning hours. Most streets were wet or with some residual slush but even side streets were passable all day.
The photo above, taken early in the afternoon, shows Olive Road looking west toward Riegel.
