Lyric tenor shares his talents with south suburban audiences

Willow School students and their loved ones gathered at the school Thursday, Feb. 5, to celebrate the 100th Day of School.

They were joined by some very special guests. First, Orland Park children’s author Nancy Gee read her “Mom’s Choice” award-winning book, “The Secret Drawer.”

The Homewood-Flossmoor High School poms squad and boys varsity basketball team came to read to Willow students, but sometimes they were read to by the younger students.

The poms squad performed a routine they created to the kids’ tune, “Zero the Hero.”

And to end the evening, everyone got some practice counting to 100 as the basketball team pumped in 100 layups.
