It’s billed as “the world’s most awe-inspiring basketball show” and it’s coming to the Homewood-Flossmoor community for one day only.
The Harlem Wizards will bring their sky-high slams, dynamic energy, world-class basketball tricks and aerodynamic athleticism to H-F High School on Sunday, March 1. Tickets are on sale for the event, a fundraiser sponsored by the Flossmoor School District 161 PTO. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the game starts at 5:30 p.m.
The Wizards, a nationally-renowned team of basketball virtuosos who yearly help raise millions of dollars for worthy organizations, will take on the District 161 ”Slam Dunks,” made up of local teachers, administrators, parents, village employees, alumni and other community members.
Now in their 53rd year of touring the country, the Wizards put on an unforgettable basketball show designed to entertain and engage the H-F audience. Last year, the Wizards appeared in more than 400 communities across the U.S. while raising money for schools and not-for-profit groups..
The family-oriented show will will help raise funds for student enrichment programs and technology, said event chairperson Maretta Marsh.

Student tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate. General admission tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Reserved seats are $20. Courtside Plus are $35, which includes a pregame meet-and-greet with Wizards players, refreshments, courtside seating, lanyards, autographed posters and a photo with team members. Courtside Plus tickets are only available for purchase at Art4Soul or Serenity Day Spa.
Children 3 years and younger will be admitted free or charge.
