Homewood Disposal is reminding residents of Homewood and Flossmoor that garbage pick-up will be late this week.

The business closed on Monday due to the weather, so all pick-ups are rescheduled by one day.

For Homewood residents, this means pick-up will be on Thursday, Feb. 5. 

Homewood Disposal serves all of Homewood on one day.

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
