Tricks of Engineering Help Student Offer Treat to Mini Golfers

The deadline is Thursday, Jan. 22, to buy tickets for a night of Motown music sponsored by Homewood-Flossmoor High School Foundation. The event that will feature Masters of Soul Friday, Feb. 13, at Freedom Hall, 410 Lakewood Blvd., in Park Forest, according to  HFHSF officials.

The main event will be a performance by Masters of SOUL (formerly Masters of Motown), a group that celebrates Motown artists, their music and style.

Masters of Soul performs songs by the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, Four Tops, Jackson Five, Diana Ross & he Supremes, Martha Reeves & he Vandellas, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles and the Commodores.

There will be a private reception at 5:30 p.m. with beer, wine and appetizers. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $45.
 
Proceeds from the concert will benefit Homewood-Flossmoor High School Foundation. The organization was founded in 1982 to enhance the school experience by funding programs to help students maintain the competitive edge inside and outside the classroom.

Funding for the H-F Foundation is based on a combination of fundraising activities and donations from the community.
